GENERAL
The BERMANFALK Technical team is growing, and we are looking for a detail-oriented, enthusiastic Product Coordinator (furniture focused) to join our team on a full-time basis. If you happen to bring woodwork / millwork experience and are excited about new ways to revolutionize the hospitality industry, we want to speak with you!
In this role, you’ll be responsible for the creation of line drawings for various furniture and seating items for high-end hospitality properties, as well as reviewing current projects to ensure all aspects of drawing development have been covered.
You’ll work closely with key members of the Technical and Manufacturing team to ensure furniture products for each project works with existing site conditions in line with interior design intent, as well as drawn and built in accordance with BERMANFALK construction standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing our factories with accurate, client approved drawings for manufacturing in a timely manner is paramount and as follows:
- Oversee coordination of technical elements for drawings
- Research materials and hardware for supporting information.
- Communicate with the factory / manufacturing team for best practices on item construction.
- Supporting coordinators with technical details on construction.
- Understand and contribute to BERMANFALK construction standards.
- Review casegood and seating components for fitment with existing site conditions.
- Ensure manufacturers are managed with queries addressed in a timely manner
- Responding to queries and ensuring best practices for all parties.
- Delegating questions as needed to: Technical Coordinator, Manager Product Engineering, Project Manager or Manufacturing team.
- Ensure For Record drawings are produced and recorded appropriately.
- Communicate all pertinent changes to Project Manager.
- Track and categorize all technical questions for future improvements.
- Review furniture components to ensure construction is viable.
- Own technical management of projects from start to finish
- Review initial drawings for accuracy in construction, design, formatting, and overall alignment to BERMANFALK Construction Standards.
- Submit drawings that require construction review to the Manufacturing and Product Engineering team.
- Oversee the development of drawings with our CAD team.
- Maintaining communication with the manufacturing team and project management team throughout the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong understanding of furniture construction
- The ability to read and understand shop drawings with a strong attention to detail
- Proven ability to identify and solve problems with creative solutions
- Ability to use Autocad an asset
- Organized, highly collaborative and able to keep up with project deadlines
- Exceptional communication skills
- Highly dependable; can be relied upon to uphold their responsibilities with little supervision
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work off-hours as needed to meet with overseas team members
- High level of comfort using web-based tools and applications
- Proficient knowledge of Google Drive and Suite
- Experience in Project Coordination or Management an asset
